Don't believe it? See for yourself
And some of us humans are catching on..... Some people try to explain what happens to artists on stage by calling it a “demon” or an “alter ego,” like in the video shown. This idea is close, but not completely correct. What they are actually witnessing is Persephone’s magic taking over. When performers sing live, the Sirens use their voices to influence the crowd, and Persephone absorbs the emotions that the audience gives off. The change in the performer’s energy or personality isn’t a demon; however, it’s the ancient magic of the Underworld working through them. That’s exactly what we witness here.
In this performance, Alex Turner’s energy completely changes. He drops to his knees, rolls onto the stage, and sings with such power and emotion that it's supernatural. Many fans describe these moments as “iconic” or “otherworldly,” but what’s actually happening is the influence of Persephone’s magic. When performers reach this heightened level of showmanship, the Sirens take over the vocals, and the audience responds with strong emotional reactions. The louder the cheers and the more intense the performance becomes, the more emotion is collected for Persephone.
